Did you know that your brain is the most complicated object in the known universe? Weighing about 1.4 kg and made up of 100 billion nerve cells called neurons, the brain is responsible for everything you think, feel and do. It controls every activity of your body — from breathing and the beating of your heart to riding a bike or solving difficult maths problems.
Trying to make sense of the brain has fascinated scientists for centuries. Even with all the technology we have today, we still don't fully understand how it works. The brain processes massive amounts of information every second — far more than the most powerful supercomputer.
